Non-standard customized overload limiterIt is a "safety bodyguard" tailor-made for special cranes. When standard products are unpredictable - for instance, 500-ton gantry cranes need to withstand salt spray by the sea, or mine hoists need to be explosion-proof - the technical engineers of Weite will come to the site with solutions. We closely monitor the entire process from on-site surveying and mapping in the early stage, 3D modeling in the middle stage to 72-hour full-load testing in the later stage. Last year, the quay crane limiters made for Zhanjiang Port even took into account the compensation for roll during typhoon days. Now, they can lift over 100 containers every day as smoothly as an old dog.

Even more impressive is the on-site experience - having climbed a 300-meter wind turbine boom, drilled a coal mine shaft at -40℃, and even witnessed the sandstorm in the Sahara. During the renovation of the 50-ton gantry crane at Qingdao Port, senior engineer Lao Zhang led his team to live and work at the port, and they managed to complete the customized plan in just seven days.

​Practical deployment on quay cranesIt best illustrates the issue. The black wind speed sensor is placed at the highest point like a radar, specifically monitoring the changes in the sea breeze. The black hook of the anti-overwinding switch gets stuck at the corner of the steel wire rope. When the hook head hits the top, the power is cut off with a "click". The most crucial part is the silver weight sensor, which measures force by attaching strain gauges to the steel wire rope, with low error. The entire system is strung together with anti-corrosion cables and will not develop rust spots even after being exposed to the sea breeze for five years.

Optional configuration

Weight sensors are divided into strain bridge type and side pressure type - the former is like a scale pan connecting heavy objects, while the latter is like pliers clamping steel wire ropes. The most practical anti-overwinding switch is the WGJ type, which can switch between normally open and normally closed modes at any time (saving electricians a lot of trouble when modifying circuits). The signal control box, though small like a palm, has an IP54 protection rating and can withstand the spray water from the dock. There are three types of external large screens ranging from 3 inches to 8 inches. Zhanjiang Port chose the LED dot matrix screen, and the red characters "88.8 tons" can be clearly seen from 30 meters away under the sun. The standard wind speed sensor is equipped with WFS-2, which can easily measure a typhoon of level 12.
