“The work report of the provincial government proposes to vigorously promote the in-depth integration and development of scientific and technological innovation, industrial innovation and financial innovation. This clear guidance has given us a clearer direction, more confidence, and more motivation. ”On January 28th, Nie Daojing, a representative of the Provincial People's Congress and chairman of Yichang Micro-technology Co., Ltd., said in an interview. As a national specialized and new “little giant” enterprise, Weite Technology Co., Ltd. has deepened the field of safety management of lifting equipment and concentrated on promoting industrial intelligence and digital transformation. Its independent research and development of core products has been supporting and serving leading enterprises such as Yangtze River Electric Power and CNOOC. In 2025, the company's R&D investment will account for 10%, and its core competitiveness will be strengthened with high-intensity investment in science and technology innovation.

In recent years, Nie Daojing has conducted in-depth research in enterprise workshops, university laboratories, and industrial parks, and written suggestions on pain points and blocking points of collaborative innovation between enterprises and schools. He believes that at present, the “little giant” companies specializing in special new technologies are facing problems such as insufficient supply of R&D resources, difficulty in attracting and retaining high-level talents, and lack of technology and experience sharing mechanisms.

In view of the above problems, Nie Daojing put forward three suggestions:

One isSelect “little giant” companies with strong market competitiveness, sufficient willingness to take the lead, and good industrial foundation as the owners of the industrial chain, take the lead in the formation of new goal-oriented R&D institutions, and give long-term stable support in terms of funding, talent recruitment, and salary.;

The second isContinue to deepen the reform of talent evaluation in colleges and universities, and establish an evaluation system oriented to innovation ability, quality, effectiveness, and contribution, so that scientific research talents can get rid of the shackles of “only papers, only hats” and focus on industrial demand research.;

Three isSupport “little Giant" enterprises to jointly build an industrial ecology, share technology and equipment platforms and industrial information resources with upstream, downstream small, medium and micro enterprises, and create a “rainforest-style” innovation ecosystem to power the construction of Hubei's fulcrum.
